Hi Sweet:
Gee I don’t know what to say to night [sic] because its [sic] been a very dull day. I’ll tell you one thing I’ve got a big case of homesickness which only a furlough can cure. I woke up this morning feeling just like going over the hill but you know me it was just a feeling. Well I had breakfast and went to work (don’t you think that’s very interesting) and at 9:00 o’clock I had to get my yearly check up from the doc. and he says
[Page 2]
I’m still in 1-A so I guess there’s no chance for a discharge. Then I had dinner and after that I just kept on working until I had supper. All the while it’s been raining and I don’t mean a heavy dew like you have up there. Then I read that wonderful letter I got from you to-day [sic]. So you don’t want me to come home before June 4th? Well darling have no fear I don’t think it will be before that but I’d love to be there for the recital though. Gee darling I love you so much this war will have to end soon or I’ll go nutty. I love you with all my heart but I must close for to night [sic] so until to morrow [sic]. I love you. As Ever
Howard

P.S. I hope I have the same kind of dream to-night [sic] as I had last night. It was all about you.
