Hello sweet stuff,
Well here I am on the first stop of the convoy to fort Ben. Harrison, I am now at camp Breckinridge, Ky. and everythings [sic] fine so far. We pulled in here around six o’clock and had chow and now I’m at the service club writing you this note. I won’t stay out very late to-night [sic] because we got to leave to-morrow at three in the morning. Well darling
[Page 2]
as I told you I never get [sic] a letter on Tuesday and yesterday I didn’t get one and today I won’t because I’m not at camp but I’ll get them when I get back Friday night. Well mummy how are you to night [sic] you don’t know how much I miss you and want to see you. It seems ages since I’ve been home and it's only been about ten days or a little more. Darling you know I miss that letter so much to night [sic] and being in a strange camp where you don’t know anybody
[Page 3]
makes it just that much worse. Well kid how’s does it feel to be a married woman with out [sic] a husband? I know it [sic] especially lonely with out [sic] a wife but the day is coming when I’m going home and I hope it’s coming soon. My buddy Ray Wiedeman known as foggy is here writing with me, of course he’s [sic] writing to his wife too. Well I guess I’ll catch up on some sleep to night [sic] and feel nice a fresh to start out in the morning. So I’ll
[Page 4]
say good night [sic] for now and I love you love you so very much and always remember that so intil [sic] to morrow [sic] at Fort Ben Harrison Indiana. I love you and need you so very much. Love,
Howard
