Hi darling,
It [sic] only me again and I feel like a drowned rat I just came in from a six hour guard and we got one of those Kentucky rainy days and I mean it rains here. Boy I’m sleepy tonight and I’m going to bed just as soon as I finish this letter. This morning I didn’t do much except clean up the room where I sleep but it was kind of dirty and it took a few hours and this after noon [sic] I

drove a little. Right now I’m so darn lonely I think I wont [sic] go to bed but go down stairs a [sic] peck on the piano a little tonight I really got a case of real blues. No Kidding [sic] darling I really got it bad. I only hope they ship me back to the states pretty soon. I guess one reason is because I haven’t had a letter for two day and none yet to-day but I never say die because mail comes at all hours of the night. Darling I love you very much and I’ll write you a letter thats [sic] not so blue to morrow [sic] I hope. I love you so very very much. As Ever,

Howard

P.S. I love you more.
