Fjelstad's Home
Fjelstad eventually moved off campus to a home located not far from Concordia. Helga Fjelstad left one of the most memorable legacies at Concordia. Her service and spirit are still remembered and talked about today. President J.N. Brown praised Fjelstad for making “the greatest contribution of any individual to the progress and welfare of Concordia College.”(18) After her permanent retirement the "Hymn to Concordia" was dedicated to Fjelstad the next year for the fortieth Homecoming celebration.(19)
