Dearest Mummy,
Well how’s my little darling to night [sic]? I feel fine myself but gee darling I want to see you so much. I haven’t got any mail for a couple of days and it make [sic] me miss you just that much more. I didn’t do very much to-day [sic]. I went to see a picture on (Why We fight [sic]) as if I didn’t know already and then went out with my tommy gun for a little target practice. Well this afternoon I had to take the St. to Bn. [illegible] for a court martial trial. I guess some guy was caught with a german [sic] girl as

near as I can figure it out and he’ll get about two years for it. Outside of that nothing new has happened to day [sic]. Of course it rained but that [sic] nature and you can’t stop that. Gee mummy I want to go home so bad it is bad I just want to sit and look at you for a week and then have you pinch me to see if its [sic] a dream. I love you so very much. I got to go now darling because I go to sleep tomorrow is a big day and lot of work to do. Goodnight my darling and I hope you dream of me too I love you. As Ever,
Howard
