Sunday
Dearest Yve.,
Well its [sic] sunday again and I’m here all along. I got a letter from you and it made me feel a lot better but I still would like to be home with you to help get the apartment [sic] ready, mothers [sic] little helper thats [sic] what they call me. Well I just got back from the show and the picture was Stork Club and it was pretty good. After that I went to the service club and had a milkshake and a sandwich and now I’m back in the barracks laying with my fingers or in other words slowly going crazy. Gee honey I wish I was home again where everything would be peaceful and nice. Around here guys are acting really crazy you can’t help laughing at them. We got a couple of guys that

are going home tomorrow and the guys here are toying to get them to reenlist. Well my little mummy I hope you get a nice soft bed for that apartment [sic] because if its [sic] not soft enough we’ll have to trade it in for a new one when I get back. Gee hon theres [sic] nothing to say except I love you so much that I don’t know what to do I guess. I’ll say goodnight darling and remember this I love you like everything and more too. I love you Yve. As Ever.
Howard
