Dearest wife + no kids yet
Hows [sic] my little woman to-day [sic]? I feel much better on acount [sic] of I heard some pretty good rumors today about discharges and I don’t think it will be too long now. I think its [sic] safe to say by using both hands I could count the number of days on my finger from now to the day I start getting out. Well darling is the new bed soft or what? I hope it is because I we’ll have to change it if it isn’t. I think that’s why I love you so much. Look at the [illegible deletion] guy you got when you got me pretty good huh: (“I love me”).
[Page 2]
Well darling don’t think me too bad because I don’t mean it when I say I love me I really mean I love you. I really love you more all the time. I wish I was home now so I could see you and gee hon I think your [sic] the most wonderful woman alive. I love you so very very much and I’m just about ready to move in on you any time now so you better have the apartment [sic] ready, but darling don’t work too hard because I want my little daughter very much and you to [sic]. I love you darling and until tomorrow take of care of your self [sic] and keep loving me. As Always.
Howard
