Saturday.
Dearest Wife,
Well honey my ankle is a little better to day [sic] and I hobble up to the how. It will feel better in a couple of days and I’ll be running around with the rest of the boys again. I still got four more days of bunk fatigue which consist of lying on the bunk all day. I got a couple of good funny books to read and a couple of good books besides. Well so much for my troubles. How are you? I got another nice letter from you today and I wish I was home. I just can’t wait. So Stanley will be able to be out the 12th [illegible deletion] well I might be out by then to [sic] but it will take me about five days
[Page 2]
to get home after I leave here. I might go for my discharge next week and then I might not so I don’t know. Gee darling I miss you so much and want to be with you so very much it awful. I got to go now but will write in the morning. I love you more than anything in the world. I love you so. As Ever.
Howard
