Hello darling,
Well here it is sunday [sic] again and it [sic] a very beautiful day. I only wish you an[d] I could go and be out on the beach together and enjoy the nice warm sunshine. If I get home before the summer is all over we’ll go and I’ll wear my bathing trunks that I made over here and we’ll really get sunburn won’t we darling. Gee I’ll be so glad to get home again. Honest darling living over here in Germany isnt [sic] what
[Page 2]
its [sic] cracked up to be. Yesterday we had a big inspection and after it was all over I had to drive a lt. around and when I got back I was sleepy and did the same thing as the other day fell asleep and didn’t wake up till morning. Darling when I get home I’m going to sleep for 24 hours straight and see if that will help me catch or make me lazy. Darling I got a french newspaper from [Nancy?] France and as soon as I read it I’ll send it to you so you can see whats [sic] going on in the world. Gee I love you darling so darn much
[Page 3]
that when I think of you over three thousand miles away it makes me mad. Norman is a lucky guy to be home but he’ll have to go off again and that won’t be so good. I don’t know yet weather [sic] I’ll go the other way or not but I hope not anyway. Well darling I got to go now but I’ll try not to fall asleep and write you more often. I love you so very very much my darling and I really need you. As Ever,
Howard
