Dearest darling Wife + ?
Well I’m just about sure now that I’ll be home for christmas. I’m supposed to start processing on Wednesday morning and I ought to be out about friday and home in a [illegible deletion] week or less. I’ll keep writing to you and let you know how I make out on everything as I go along. I just came back from the P.X. and while I was there I had two chocolate milk shakes and some sup cakes and I feel full now. My ankle feel good now but its [sic] a little weak and if I turn it just right it hurts a little. Gee honey I love you so much it seem like years since I’ve seen you. I want you so very much
[Page 2]
Gee honey I bet your [sic] going to have a big laugh when you hear from Doris [illegible] because she’s going to razz you about the letters you got mixed. I wish I got the one intended for me instead of hers. I love you so very much hon and I want to be with you always. I’m listening to that song Its [sic] been a long long time and I’m getting to like it but it makes me lonely. I love you darling like the devil and I want you so much. As Ever.
Howard

P.S. I love you more yet.
