Dear Yvette + ?
I didn’t write last night and I’m sorry. It was kind of late and I was awfully tired. I got up today and went to church like a good boy and then waited for mail call but I had a bit disapointment [sic] when I opened the letter and it said Dear Doris Jack + Judy. Darling you better address your envelopes before you send them. Doris probably got my letter and I got hers. By the time you get this you’ll have heard about the mistake from Doris. That proves that you are working too hard darling and I’ll have to come home and lay the law down

[Page 2]

Gee honey I love you so much and I think I’ll be getting out very soon and then you won’t have to write to me every day. The rumors are very good around here. Gee darling I want to be with you so much that I don’t care if I have to sleep on the spring but it would be uncomfortable of course. I can always use your nice little round stomach for a soft pillow so I’ll sleep good. But it wouldn’t be so good for you would it darling? Well gee honey I got to go now but I’ll write and send me a letter. I love you darling and always will. I love you. As Ever.

Howard

[The following was written as a postscript]

P.S. I love you both.
