Friday
Dearest Yve.,
Do You remember what we were doing four years ago to-day [sic]? Well, I’ll tell you. We had dinner at your house. That was the day that Pearl harbor was attacked. It doesn’t seem that long but its [sic] the truth and I wish I was home again having another one of those chicken dinners that you used to have. I guess it won’t be long though and I just sweating it out because I’ve want to go home with a clean slate so I can start life right. I wish it would hurry

up and get me out of here. The guys are beginning to call me a service club comands [sic] because every morning I take off to the club to get out of duty. Its [sic] getting so you can’t find a table to write letters on anymore down here because so many guy have the same thought as I do. Gee darling I don’t know what to write about anymore I can’t tell you any news because there isn’t any. I didn’t get any letters from you to day [sic] either but of course its [sic] friday and I never get them to-day [sic]. Well darling I’ll say good night for now and will write later on. I love you so very much. As Ever.
