Gee darling I love you so very much. Yve, I got the package that you sent May 29 and every thing [sic] in it was swell. The brownies we’re [sic] very good and
[Page 2]
the air mail stationary [sic] came just in time because I used the last of it last night and over here you can’t get paper or envelopes. I had a chance yesterday to go to [Salsburgs?] to take St. [illegible] Louise [Eshleman?] to the quartermasters and I went to the P.X. but I couldn’t buy anything because I didn’t have a ration card. Gee this rationing is terrible, why I couldn’t even buy a pack of cigaretts [sic], but I can’t complain darling I’m ok and got a wonderful wife to go back home to. Gee I miss you. Well darling the boys want to put the lights out so Ill [sic] have to close now I love you so very much and gee I feel so mushy mush to night [sic] I wish you we’re [sic] here or me there. Yours forever,
Howard
