Dearest Yve + ?
Well darling to night [sic] I’m still in California and expect to be here for two or three more days but then I could be going east. You never can tell. Gee darling I love you so much and I want you more than ever. you can leave a place for me for dinner christmas because in my own mind I think I’ll be home in time and if I do I’ll be very hungry, just like Dagwood. Gee it will be swell to hold you in my arms again and I won’t have to leave again. You know what darling I haven’t bought any christmas presents yet. You see how much I plan on you. That’s what you get for marrying a lazy guy like me. I wish I knew what

to get you darling? I’m stumped but I’ll find something if I have to tie a tag on myself and send me. I love you darling and I got to go now. We got to get up at five for something to morrow [sic] but I don’t know what it is yet So take care of yourself darling and I love you so very very much. As Ever.

Howard
