Hello Darling:
No I haven’t changed my mind about marrying you on the next furlough and if I did I would of told you and another thing I’m not shipping oversea’s [sic] for a little while yet unless something comes up I not know nothing about. That ought to clear up a lot of question for you huh darling? What makes you doubt me like that? You know I want to marry
[page 2]
you yet you always seem in doubt. Well darling I guess I’ll have to go home and prove to you that I still love you and even more than I did last time I saw you (don’t I wish I could go home). They cut the limit of passes now, instead of three days all you can get is two and what good are they, they don’t give any out. Theres [sic] a good show playing down here the name is The Man from down under [sic] with Charles Laughton
[page 3]
and Binnie Barns and I thought it was good see it if you can. I saw the picture For Whom the Bells Toll and I enjoyed it a lot. I saw it about one week after I got back from my furloug. Well darling I guess I’ll have to close the same old excuse [illegible deletion] it is getting late and first call to morrow [sic] is 05:00 o’clock centeral [sic] war time and don’t forget I love you and if you doubt me again remember that I’ve got a big hand and it hurts when used in the right place. Well take care of
[page 4]
your self [sic] and I’ll see you as soon al as I can and until then I love you with all my heart. As Always
Howard
