Hello Darling:
Well how’s my little honey tonight? Gee I miss you and it seems so long since I’ve seen you that oh I don’t know. There I go complaining again: But sometimes it does me good to let off a little steam. Well I had to drive the (old man) company Comm. down to division Hdq.
[page 2]
This morning early and as we went by the wac. barracks they had a fire drill and what a bunch of women look like in the early morning, well I can’t explain it very well but it was funny. after that I had to come back and clean up my Half Track because we got to put on another demonstration and it has to be extra clean. Then we’re finished for the day except
[page 3]
that we got to clean up our barracks and wash the windows and now it [sic] nine o’clock and I’m all finished. Well darling what do want for christmas? Please tell me because I want to know in [illegible] once or I’ll be mad. Honest darling I don’t know what to get you. Will you marry me yet. I hope you don't change your mind about me because I’m coming home if they give me
[page 4]
a furlough around New Years and you better say yes this time and mean it. Oh darling I love you so very much that I’d do anything for you. I’ll close now but I’ll not stop loving you. Love
Howard
