Dearest Yvette,
Well darling I didn’t write last night because when I got in it was too late. We went out last night to dryrun a problem and it was morning when we got back. You see it was a good thing that you left last weekend. Well darling Maxine sent Ray some cookies and they were good but your’s are much better. Jack Hamline is on a pass this week-end [sic] and thats [sic] about all the news there is here. Whats [sic] [the] news at home?
[Page 2]
Darling you can get rid of the shoe polish or anything you want with it, I don’t think it’ll be of any use any more. [sic] Well darling I do simulate that you are with me but it’s no good because it just isn’t the same as having you with me. Darling I think of you all the time and I love you so very much that I guess that this war has just got to end soon. I love you and want you more each day and the days go slow with out [sic] you. I guess I’ll have to close now but remember I love you as always,
Howard
