Hi Yve.,
What are you doing to-night? Well I’m just about ready to go to bed, but now I’m up in my squad leaders room and writing. You see the light went out and the sgt. being a good egg said I could use the room to write so here I am. Well darling I miss you more every day [sic] and I wish this war will be over soon because I’m really getting sick of this life and to day [sic] I’m more lonely than ever because its [sic] tuesday [sic] and no letter
[Page 2]
but I can look forward to one to morrow [sic] so you see it’s not quite so bad after all. I didn’t do much to day [sic] but I guess its [sic] like the lull before the storm, you see next week we are supposed to go on a two week bivouac. Well darling the sgt. wants to go to sleep so I guess I better close. I love you still more now and I can’t wait until I get home to see you. I love you. I love you. As ever,
Howard
