Dear Yve.,
Its just me again and I’m on duty to-night. [sic] It seems that it’s my turn to drive guard to-night [sic] so here I am with a little peep (the same one you rode in when you came out to camp, and I drive most any place on the post. I just got back from taking this O.D. (officer of the day) to the show and now I’ll have time to write a little. I got a letter from you saying that you made some brownies and my mouth hasn’t stoped [sic] watering yet.

[Page 2]

I got a letter from home to-day [sic] and I guess Mom is warring [sic] herself too much about Bill but I can’t do much about that. Well darling I wish I was with you to night [sic] at least I wouldn’t have to get up every two hours to post guard in this peep. I got the french [sic] lessons and it brought back old memories. First it made me feel funny but after it made me love you all the more. Well here goes again I got to leave now but I might be able to write again but incase I don’t I love you and always will. I love you darling with all my heart. As ever,

Howard
