Hello Darling:
Gee I’m happy to night [sic]. I just got the package and a letter to [sic] and I just couldn’t wait until christmas to open my christmas present so I opened it and I like it and darling I love you as much. Darling the candy ok too. I’m eating some now. My buddy Ted is coming back to night [sic] some time [sic]. He’ll probably wake me up in the middle of the night to tell me all his troubles and what a nice time
[page 2]
he had while on furlough. and [sic] when I wake up I’ll listen to him and agree with every thing [sic] he says and then go back to sleep. I’m going to mail that picture and don’t laugh at it I still don’t know what to get you for christmas. I got to take a truck out on convoy Saturday and we will probably stop in some but city and I’ll look around. Darling I just came back from a movie and you’ll laugh when I tell you what I saw. Well here
[page 3]
goes I saw The Heats On with (Mae West) and it was lousey. My good friend George Kalas said it was good so I went. It’s a good thing it only cost me 15¢ to go. Darling did you ever read the book (Out On Any Limb). I started it and it seems to be pretty good I hope I have time to finish it. Well darling I guess I’ll close now but I’ll never stop loving you darling. I love you
Howard
