Dear Yvette,
Well darling here I am and I feel sell this morning after that good night sleep. I took that picture of you to bed with me and I had a wonderful dream, but now I’m already for the field again. Darling I like that little poem that you wrote in your last letter and every word is true. As for being home I would like nothing better you know that but I guess I can’t go until after the war is over. I only got two more weeks of this field and then maybe a furlough. I want to see you so much darling.

Jack says that Judy’s fine and Camp don’t [sic] know whether its [sic] a boy or a girl yet. Darling I guess I’ll have to quit now but I’ll find some time to write later in the field but now I [have] got to go. I love you very much and can’t wait to see you again. I love you. As Ever,

Howard
