My Dearest Wife
I just finished taking a shower and I’m laying on my bunk writing to you. Gee I miss you It[‘]s been --- down here lately. I got a sore arm to-night [sic] I just got finished shooting. I got a bout [sic] three more days of it. Darling I can’t write any thing [sic] every time I try to think of you all I can think of is how much I love you and how much I like to

be near you or the other way around you know how it is. I don’t know just yet but I think I’m going to be shiped [sic] to Arkansas as [sketch of sgt rank] or Sgt. I hope so any way [sic] I love you. I love you and will you marry me as soon as the war is over be cause [sic] I do’nt [sic] want to wait I want you to promise to wait for me darling. I can’t write much more I got to send a card to my folks father and tell him I back here again
