Hello Darling
I’m sorry for not writing every day but I’m having a hard time lately. It sure is hot down here, this afternoon it was a 103° in the shade but they say it will get cooler. Gee darling I miss you. I want to ask you a question darling. [W]hat size ring do you wear? [P]lease answer because I would like to know. Honey I loves you all. Honey where did you get the dimples on your knees. I think you took a pretty good picture. I wish that I was at my sister’s house when you was telling her about us. Darling I got you box of cards and it’s the tops. Boy will I be glad when we’re married
[Page 2]
so we can be to gether [sic] all the time. They shipped 30 more fellows out to day [sic] to go across in the near future and out of 207 in [illegible deletion] my company there’s about 50 left in camp the rest are shipped all around. I’ll try to write more after and I think I’ll have more time now but later on I’ll have to go to non commission[ed] officers school. [Y]ou know to become corp. or Sgt. I hope it comes soon I got a friend down here and he let me have some money until I get paid. I just had to borrow it because I needed a few thing[s]. Well darling keep the old flame burning because I’m coming home again.( I love you darling). Love
