Dear Mummy,
Well here I am again and I love you more than ever tonight. Darling I’m home sick I wish I was home with you. See I tell you every thing. [sic] To morrow [sic] we have an inspection and then another problem. I got a letter from you to day [sic] and it helped but it isn’t the same as if you we’re [sic] here, but I guess I’ll live. Darling I’m sitting in the half track with the lights on writing you this letter so if you can’t read it its [sic] not my fault. You know Yve I wish I was home to stay.
[Page 2]
Well we only got twenty-five more days of this manuever [sic] so its [sic] going fast although it seems like weeks and I was only out five already. I went over to the PX and got some marshmellows [sic] to toast and they seem to be pretty good but we probably won’t see that for a long time or at least two or three days. Darling nothing new happened so I guess I’ll turn in now I [have] got a lot of work to do in the morning and I’m pretty tired. I love you very much and you’re all I think about all day. I must go now I love you darling. Your loving husband,
Howard

P.S. I’m really in love and I’ll still say I married you for your money. I love you.
