Feb 2, 1944 20:10 P.M. Hello darling: Well here I am again darling. I’m out on bivouac and this is my second night. The weather is kind of chilly though but I don’t mind it too much because you don’t hang around enough to get cold. I got a letter from you to day and you know you seem to make [page 2] love you all the more. Darling you ought to see us to night [sic], there three of us in a little tent all writing letters with one flash light so if you can’t b read this don’t blame me. We sure have a lot of fun out on this bivouac though hike to-day [sic] for instance we were out on a problem and the Sgt. put me incharge [sic] of the half tracks (truck to you) and [page 3] for me to keep bringing them up but all he game me for an order was Brinig [sic] the trucks down yonder a peice [sic]. Now where I was suppose to go and where I went nobody knew because he figured I went one direction and I went the other. Darling I got a letter from you to-day [sic] that you wrote to me before I got in to [sic] the army infact a year before and I’m sending you [page 4] the date that you put on it to prove it. Well darling I won’t write to-morrow night because I won’t be in until about two o’clock in the morning. Yve darling I love you more and more every day and I guess I’ll always love you. Its [sic] one of those things that can’t be helped. I love you darling and I hope this war will end soon so we can be to gether [sic] again. I I can write I love you in french but I like the three little words to [sic] darling. I love you. Your loving husband (to be) Howard
