Hello darling
You may be wondering how I came to be in Indiana, well its [sic] like this. We go on bivouac for two weeks starting the 21st of Febuary and I got two days pass so I decided to get as far away from camp as I could. Well darling I started for Evensville about seven thirty Friday night and got here at eleven then got a hotel

room and slept until ten o’clock. I had breakfast about a couple of hours ago and I just took a shower and I feel like going out to see the town. I wish that you could be with me though its [sic] so nice down here and everybody [sic] so friendly. At first I didn’t think we would get here because on all the buses they got women drivers and they are pretty poor drivers. Well darling I’m going to miss you like the devil to day [sic] because I’ve never been in a city like this with out [sic] you. I love you so darn much and its [sic] going to be so lonesome all alone. I love you darling and please keep loving me. Your own husband to Be
