Hello darling:
Just a few lines to let you know I still love you. To night [sic] I got a terrible headache and I’m going to bed as soon as I finish writing this letter. Well darling by this time you are at the cottage at Hampton enjoying your vacation. Gee darling I envy you. Well darling I hope you have a swell time because I’m going to be coming home in Aug. [August] and maybe you won’t be able to go very many places with out [sic] me. Gee darling I love you so very much. Guess what darling? We had

a class on public speaking and we all had to write a speech about some army topic and to night [sic] we had to give it to all the officers in the regiment. I gave mine and when I see you I’ll tell you all about it. It was good even if I do say so myself. Well darling I love you and I hope to see you soon. Lots of love
Howard.

P.S. Please let me know if your [sic] enjoying your self [sic]?
