Dearest darling wife,
Here it is sunday [sic] and I haven’t been to church yet, dont [sic] you think I’m awful? They may have church this after noon [sic] and I’ll go. Just think three years ago I was at Fort Knox and wondering weather [sic] you forgot all about me because I wasn’t getting any mail and now I don’t get mail very often but I know it will catch up in time. You know darling that three years didn’t seem half as long as this last three months.

Gee I wish I was back across the ocean again. This country we’re in is very pretty but there’s no place like home. Well darling have you got an apartment pick [sic] out yet or are you going to wait till I get home. I wish it would be to morrow [sic] that I get home but it [will] probably be a long time yet. I love you so much darling every hour away from you seem [sic] like a year. I got to leave now but remember darling I love you and I hope I see you soon. As Ever,

Howard
