Dearest Yve.,
Well darling I just got back from swimming and feel one hundred percent better. We got a little stream a little way from the place I stay where the deepest water comes up to my neck and its [sic] pretty good swimming but not quite big enough. I didn’t write last night because I was kind of tired when I got back here. I work harder now that the war is over in Europe. I didn’t get any letter to-day [sic] either. I wish there was a way to get mail every day. It makes
[Page 2]
the time seem shorter and it [sic] so darn good to hear from you. Well darling there’s not much new to write about except I want to go home. I’m getting sick of Germany. You know darling you wouldn’t like it over here either, it just isn’t so good. Gee darling I miss you so much and I can’t wait until I get home but it look [sic] as though it’ll be a long time because of the point system I haven’t got enough. Well darling I love you and I got to leave I’ll write tomorrow (Mothers day [sic]) and tell your mother I’m thinking about her to [sic]. Good night darling. Your loving husband,
Howard
