Dear Yvette

How is every little thing and all the big things to [sic]? I had a pretty good time Thursday night but it reminded me to much of home and then I started to think of how much I really love you. Do I wish I could spend another week at home with you. All the boys down here they [sic] talking about furlough and going back to their old girl friends [sic] again. I got a letter from you again yesterday and you said in it that you were sending me a box package of candy and one of the boys got a hold of the letter and they said that they were going to stick very close to me until I get it. This letter [sic] going to be [illegible deletion] short because I got to get

ready for inspection. Well [D]arling I love you and I [sic] come back when the war is over and I hope it [sic] very soon. I shure [sic] want to come home Christmas but I don’t think it will be possible. Love,
