Title
Letter to Yvette from Howard, April 6, 1945
Description
Howard talks about what he does every day and how similar the routine is to a camp at which he used to be stationed. He talks again about missing home, mentions taking a shower, and briefly responds to what was apparently a news clipping sent by Yvette.

Dear Yvette,
Well here it is another day and not much to write about. You want to know what I do over here, well you know what I used to do at camp campbell [sic], well I do the same thing here. We’ve got inspections here, we have to drive the same old halftracks so being over here is just about the same as being in the states only you can’t go to town and get you a big steak dinner anytime you want it. I got a couple of nice letters from you to day [sic] and they came just in time. I was just beginning to wonder if I had any mail.
[Page 2]
I guess I’m like you. If [illegible deletion] I get one one day I expect another the next and I get very disappointed when I don’t get one. When you mention that little car of mine you started me thinking, gee I’d like to be back to those good old days. Gee darling I miss you so much and more so lately. I guess its [sic] because I got a lot of time to think. I love you so darn much and I want to be with you. I’m going to bed now so will write to morrow [sic]. I love you very much. As ever,
Howard
[The following is written as a postscript]
P.S. I took a shower to day [sic] and feel very very clean.
P.S.S. Your clipping is just about true about Rouen Rouen.
