Hi Darling
Gee you seem so far away and since I haven’t been getting so many letters from you lately I’m beginning to wonder weather [sic] you still love me or not. Its [sic] been three days since I had a letter telling me that you loved me. Here I am sitting all alone in the Company office and wouldn’t like to see you. I got C.Q. to night [sic] and it gives me plenty of time to think. By the way C.Q means Charge of quarters. I love you just

as much as ever. I just sent one of the boys out to get me a box of ice cream. I hope he hurries back. Darling when are you coming down to see me or do you want me to say pretty please first? Im [sic] only kidding you know I don’t want you to come down here all alone and what would we do after we were to gether [sic] it would be awful. I hope this war gets over awful quick you don’t know how much I want to marry you [D]arling. Well here comes a couple of officers so I say good by [sic] for now. [G]ood night [sic] [D]arling I wish I was holding you in my arms right now. Love
Howard
