How is Louise now you wrote and told me that you were going to see her? My brother Bill didn’t forget me this Christmas. money on account of it’s his birthday. Well [H]oney I wish that I didn’t have to be so far away from you all the time. I get so lonesome. I haven’t had a letter from you for a couple of days and I haven’t had one from home either. Well its [sic] pretty cold down here and it snowed all night. Gee [D]arling I’m going to miss you [C]hristmas because all the boys are going to town and I’ve got to stay in camp and we won’t even have a tree or any thing [sic]. I love you [D]arling and I don’t know what I’d do if you ever left me. Well [D]arling I must be going now but I [will] try to write every day from now on. Lots of love
Howard
