Hi Darling:
I love you [D]arling and I fell a lot better to-day [sic]. I wrote to my two brothers and told them what happened on my furlough. Darling I’m sorry that I haven’t written to you every day as I promised but its [sic] been Hell down here lately and I haven’t had time to do anything at all. I wish the war would end and then I would have

plenty of time for everything. Something [is] going to happen. I got two letters to-day [sic] from you and I know that you still love me now. [A]t least you say you do. Honey I just heard that in [M]arch that there would be a bunch of boys from [C]ampbel will go to Camp Devens Mass. and I’m going to try to be one of those boys. Wouldn’t that be swell if I got stationed

that close to home? I would be able to come home every week end [sic] and see you and even during the week. I got a card from Norman and I wanted to write him a letter but I can’t find his address anywhere. You see we are moving down here and every thing [sic] is all upside down and I can’t even find myself sometimes.
[Page 4]
Well [D]arling I’m going to send you some money pay-day so you can save it. I love you [D]arling and will you change your name to mine when this war is over? Will you marry me? I think you are going to have to because I’m going to save all the letters you send me and if you don’t I’ll see that your father see[s] the letters wouldn’t that be something? I love you. Love
Howard
