Hi Kid:
How are you to-day [sic]? I feel ok but I’d rather be with you this army life is killing me. I’d like it much better down here if it would stop raining just for a day but no it got to [sic] rain all the time. Darling when are you coming down to see me? We’re getting ready to go on a motor march to morrow [sic] you know one of those things that you pack every thing [sic] you got and expected to move to another camp and you go
[Page 2]
for a nice long ride and then they take you back to your old barracks and say (Dry run).
well [H]oney I love you more every day and I can’t wait for the day when I can go home and won’t have to come back in the army. Well honey I can’t write much longer because I got to go to work and I don’t mean maybe. (one hr. later) Hello [H]oney I came back to close my letter on note. Whatever you want to call it. [S]o long for now. I love you.
Howard
P.S. Will you marry me? Yes No
