Dearest darling wife,
Well its [sic] only me again and I still love you even though you did work all the time I was home or some of the time anyway. To day [sic] I haven’t done much of anything. I cleaned up my barrack and then stood an inspection that took up all morning and this afternoon we had to go on a parade which lasted about four hours. It would of [sic] only taken about an hour but you now the army, you have one parade and three hours dry run. Well darling it snowed a little down here but it didn’t amount to much because
[Page 2]
it melted as soon as it hit the ground. Well darling I don’t know what to do tonight if I hang around the barracks they might put me to work and if I go out I’ll get tired. Darling what do you want for christmas [sic]? I know what to get but I want to know what you want to see if I had guessed right. Well darling I guess I’ll say goodnight for now and write tomorrow I love you with all my heart and I didn’t know you could love a person so much. I love you. I love you. I love you. As Ever
Howard
