Dearest darling wife + no kids
How are you today darling? I was just lying on my bunk thinking of all the good times we’ve had in the two weeks I was home. You couldnt [sic] of been a nicer wife if you tried. You did so much and I love you so that it hard to stay in the army now [sic]. If somebody told me that a guy like me could love one person so much about a couple years ago I’d tell him he was crazy, but now i know what real love is. Well anyhow darling I love you and always will. Well darling Ray is sitting side [sic] me now and writing to little Maxine. And he tell [sic] me to say hello for him. We are both here sitting around the stove in the day room eating ice cream and freezing at the same time,
[Page 2]
dumb aren’t we? Well darling I guess I don’t know whats [sic] going to happen around here there are rumors that we’ll be here until the first of april [sic] but you know the army they can change their minds in a moment. Well if its [sic] true I’ll be coming home on furlough again before too long. Gee darling I got to see you, it seem so long since I left and it only a week [sic]. I guess its real love alright. Well I guess I’ll close and go to bed now so I’ll have time to dream about you anyway. I love you so very much and I love you with all the fixing and darling I could sure go for some of that mushy mush to night [sic]. Your lonely husband
