Yvette dearest,
Gee I miss you so much that it hurts. I wish I could get out of this darn army. I know I’ve been awful lucky to stay on this side so long but I’m getting awful tired of it. Darling no letter to day [sic] and it [sic] Tuesday thats [sic] why. Well tomorrow I’ll probably get one but won’t be here to read it. Jack put me and Ako (you know the guy in the colored picture you got) on a detail to go to some place in Indiana and back it will take

[Page 2]

about two or three days just like a three day pass. Well darling I’ll be glad when you get here. I’m so darn lonely and just to look at you would make me feel 100% better. I got a lot of work to do tonight before I go to bed so I’ll have to cut this short. But darling I’m not kidding when I say I love you and I’m so glad I married you. I love you more all the time. I need you so much. I love you. As Ever

Howard
