Dearest darling wife,
Well darling its [sic] the same old thing you get up in the morning lay around all day and go back to bed again. I didn’t write last night because I went to town to find you something for christmas [sic] but no luck. Gee darling I don’t know what to buy you. I wish I knew but I just don’t. We just had a little snow storm this afternoon but it didn’t last very long and it didn’t stay on the ground but it seemed good to see it. Darling I’m going to send some money home so my mom can get the kids something for christmas [sic]
[Page 2]
is it okay. I don’t know what to get them here and you know me the easy way out. I’m going to send a few cards but not very many. Well darling your brother sure has a mind of his own but he’ll be back. Darling you make your pullman reservation because I do think it will be crowded. I was going to tell you to anyway but you’d probably do what you wanted to about it so I waited for you to suggest it first. I hope darling that I get my pass so I can spend at least three days with you when you come down here. Gee darling I miss you so darn much that when I went to the show this afternoon it made
[Page 3]
me really homesick. The picture was Hollywood Canteen which was good but not to [sic] real. Ray came out of the hospital on pass and he still got a foggy voice [sic] but they haven’t given up yet. They’re sending him to a general hospital in Nashville I guess. Maybe before it [sic] over they’ll cure him or discharge him. He also went to the show and he just now left for the hospital again. well darling thats [sic] about all the news there is down here except I keep loving you more and more every day and I hope it won’t be long before we can be together always. I love you with all my heart darling. As Ever
