Dear Yvette,
I got the letter you wrote before you left for home and I love you so much that I can’t wait till i get home. I might leave tomorrow night for home. it will either be tomorrow or saturday [sic] morn. Gee darling I miss you so darn much that I don’t know what to do. I don’t know at night I can’t seem to do anything. Well darling I didn’t do much of anything to day. The company had a big ordnance inspection and I drove for that and thats [sic] about all. Darling I got the package from your [illegible deletion] mother and everything was swell. You know darling it was too bad you weren’t here to help me eat it. I also got all your christmas cards and

I wait until I get there to give them to you [sic]. I could send them but it would take to long for you to get them. I’ll probably be home before you get this letter. I hope so anyway. Theres [sic] not much to write about to night [sic] so I guess I’ll close now. I love you so much darling as if you didn’t know. Goodnight darling and remember you [sic] lonesome little husband. As Ever
