Hi [D]arling
How’s the world treating you? I got the box of candy that you sent me and it was swell and I also got the pills. I promise to take my pills every day. Well [D]arling here it is [S]unday and I just loved my dinner. [D]arling when this war is over we won’t ever have beans will we? I’m getting so sick of them that I never want to see another one. I see you got me all figured out haven’t you? [W]ell [D]arling at the end of eight months I’ll have over that if I get to the post office tomorrow. I [will] send you the quarter of the two hundred will that be ok or if it isn’t its [sic] just too bad. Darling I love you and I hope you
[Page 2]
have a good time in Boston. Some day [sic] maybe I’ll take you to the big city just you and I won’t that be something? Darling I love you and I wished that we were married. [G]ee it gets so lonesome living all alone without no one [sic] to tell your troubles to. [D]arling in one corner of the room down here there’s about fifteen guys shooting a little game of dice on craps as we know it in the army. Well [D]arling I love you but I guess I have to go now. I got [sic] to make out the report for the old man. Take care [D]arling and remember I’ll always love you so keep loving me. Love
Howard
