Hello [D]arling
How are you to-day [sic]? Is your back sore? Gee I feel sorry for you having to shovel snow. I got your box of candy that you sent me and it’s swell. Well I’ve been pretty busy for the past two or three days and haven’t had time to write. I did have time to go to the hospital to see Tony and he’s look [sic] a lot better. There was a guy over there that was supposed to be sick and he walk[ed] the whole length of the word on his hands. Gee they really drive the nurse nuts over there.
[Page 2]
Well Honey Darling I haven’t had time to send the money order but I’ll eventually get around to it. Well [D]arling I’m a Corporal now so I’ll be abel able to send you more money or at least as much if I ever get around to sending it. Well I’m ok now just got a little bit of a cold left and I [will] get rid of that soon. Well that’s enough about me. Do you still love me or have you changed? I hope not because I love you more and more every day and I hope this coming year is the last year of the war because I can’t single for another two years. I love you and allways [sic] will. Lots of love
Howard
P.S. Will you marry me? Yes or No
