Hello [D]arling:
Well here it is the next morning and its seem[s] that we didn’t have t go out with the company because it was just a problem for the rifle men in the company so here I am lying in my tent all alone. Last night after I finished writing you out St. came back and he had some hot dogs and we had toasted dogs
[Page 2]
before we went to bed. Nothing else happened after that so I haven’t much to write about. I love you [D]arling and gee [H]oney I wish I could see you. Oh I forgot to tell you that I won’t be able to write you to night [sic] because we go on a night problem hike this we’re going to travel from town to town and it [is] going to be all back-out. Darling I love you more. Here comes the C.O. so I better leave now. I [will] write again when I can. I love you again so [D]arling (good morning) Love you like nobody else does.
Howard
P.S. I love you.
