Dear Yvette
What’s cooking? What kind of a weekend did you have in Boston? Did you have a good time at the dance that you went to while you were there? I just got a letter from someone in [S]outhbridge and they said you went dancing in Boston. I’m going to write to them and tell them to mind their [illegible]. Well you know what I mean anyway. I got a couple of letters to-day [sic] but none from you. I wasn’t too disappointed though, because I got your one page letter yesterday. Gee I couldn’t believe my eyes when I opened it up and saw that you had torned [sic] the peice [sic]
[Page 2]
of paper in half and only writing me a half letter. Well here I am to-day [sic] first I got up at 5:30 in the morning and I showered and took a shower then went out for roll call. Then I came back in the barracks and made my bed and washed the floor around my bunk then had chow [illegible deletion]. [T]hen at seven o’clock I went out on the range and stayed there till noon and had chow again. [T]hen I went to work there intil [sic] five and here I am in the bunk now doing a little bunk fatigue. That [is] what I did all day. Well [D]arling I still love you but I got [sic] to go and get ready for g ward you might know. I’ll I’d get g ward because it [is] getting cold down here again. Well goodnight [D]arling. I love you. Love
Howard
