Dear Yve:
I just got the box of cookies that you sent and there [sic] good and I got two letters from you to-day [sic] to [sic]. Well I haven’t done much to-day [sic] but at seven o’clock to night [sic]. They lined us all up and and we had to have another examination. It included everything from the hair on your head to the bottom of on [sic] your head to the bottom of your feet. It was just like a beauty contest just think of one hundred men with nothing on. Well so much for that. I hope Norman likes it in Texas but I [would] rather go north than any farther south. Your sister is getting a lot of letters now but the time will come when even he won’t be able to find much
[Page 2]
time to write. I write every chance I get. I couldn’t help it if I haven’t the time down where I cam we are training men to go overseas next Hitler's boy and it on for like about a month ago we had some boys and they were nice guys and look where they are now. A letter came from one for them to the Whale company and it said the training we got from you sure is working swell and there [sic] address [is] somewhere in England. Well [D]arling you know I still love you and I wish I was home but I can’t have everything so I’d rather be here now as to be home for a week and then be shipped overseas or if you want it the other way around ok. I love you and I want you very much the both sides the good and the bad. Lots of love by your loving husband
