night-time
Yve, darling
Well its [sic] me again, and no letters to-day. This is getting to be like back in Fort Knox when I first came in the army. As usual we got a big crap game going on and you can hardly find room on the floor to write but, I guess I got enough room now. Well darling how are you getting along? Let me know what [sic] going on because I’d like to know. Did stanley get that furlough he was expecting? Hows [sic] fil getting along? Hows [sic] Betty now that she’s single again? Has Norman left for overseas yet? I guess thats [sic] enough questions to keep
[Page 2]
you busy for a while. As for me I’m still ok. You know me. I’m pretty easy to get along with just as long as I don’t have to do much and I don’t overwork. I still would like to know if that night gown you wore in providence was torn or was it my imagination, its [sic] really bothering me. Gee darling I don’t know what to write any-more except I love you and you know that, but just for old times sake I love you more. Lots of love. Howard

ps. Please send me some candy cookies and anything you can think of to eat. I’m always hungry
