Dearest darling Yve,

Mom didn’t write very much but it [sic] good to hear from home anyway. By the way whats [sic] new about the town? I got a little article I’m going to send it was in the stars + stripes. I think it will pass the censors. gee darling there’s nothing to write about around here. Its [sic] just the same old thing and I’ll be glad when it [sic] all over and [sic] get back to the states
[Page 2]
I didn’t write last night because I got finish work [sic] around seven + then went on co. guard. Its [sic] getting [so] to hold a tee. 5 rating you got to do everything from guard up with the exception of K.P. there I go griping again but they say your not a soldier unless you do a little griping. Well kid let me know how mail is coming. I’m going to close now I’ve been up since four this morning. I love you darling and remember that. As Ever
