Hello my little daring,
Well another day has gone by without you and I think I’ll have to go home if I’m ever going to see you. Everyday is just about the same in the army. you get up at five like we did the morning and well we took a ride about eighty miles and now we’re in our little tents and its [sic] cold to night [sic]. It [sic] snow a little to-day [sic] but outside of that everything is OK.
[Page 2]
Well darling I cant [sic] write much to night [sic] because its [sic] too darn cold and oh its [sic] just like sitting in snow writing tonight but darling I love you very very much and always will and darling I want you more than anything in the world but I guess I’ll have to wait a little while longer. I love you darling with all my heart. As Ever,
Howard
