Thursday
Dearest darling Wife,
I love you so very much to night [sic] and when I see other fellows with their wives it makes me envy them. You see Tony’s girl came up to camp to see him to night [sic]. She just got discharged from the waves and she’s going to stay out here til Tony gets a discharge and then they can go back to New York together. Its [sic] only a short time like a week before Tony gets out so that [sic] why she’s staying.
[Page 2]
I met her to night [sic] and she seems to be very nice but you ought to see the size of her. I have to look up at her. Iwas standing side of her and I only came up to her shoulder. I got a letter from Evelyn to day [sic] and I’ll have to answer it son or get h---. You know darling there’s nothing to write about out here because nothing exciting ever happens. Gee darling I love you so very much. By the way darling what did the doctor tell you when you went to see
[Page 3]
him or did you back out at the last minute or are you waiting till I get there and make you go. How is little junior? Is he making any progress? Is he growing? Gee I’m asking a lot of question [sic] aren’t I [illegible deletion]. Its [sic] only because I love you so much and miss you. I want to be with you so very much. [illegible deletion] I’d give anything to be with you. I love you so. Your worst half.
Howard

P.S. I love you so very much more than ever.
