Hi Honey,
Gee I love you more every day. Sometimes I wonder how its [sic] possible but it is so there. I got your letter with the picture of Ray + Maxime’s kid in is and I think we can do better after all I don’t want my kid to look like Ray’s. Yve., I’m all alone tonight in the barracks and so very lonely. I wish you were here to keep me company
[Page 2]
because when your around there’s never a dull moment and I love you so much. First thing to night [sic] I went up to the service club and listened to a guy play the piano and he was good (but not as good as you). I listen [sic] for about an hour and then he quit so I came back to the barracks. I guess you’ll have to teach me to play darling. I’m getting to want to learn to play more every day. Do you think that’s bad? I do so want to be near you so very
[Page 3]
much though darling that I don’t think of nothing but you all day. I’m going to send this picture of the baby back so it won’t get lost. Well darling I guess I’ll have to close for now but don’t forget I love you so much that I can’t do with out [sic] you anymore. I [sic] so glad we were married because if we weren’t I wouldn’t have enjoyed my furloughs so much and I never thought that married life was so nice. Goodnight my darling and I love you. As Ever.
Howard
